In 2008, we started a new tradition at Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College – commemorating World AIDS Day on December 1.
We are proud to say that we continue this tradition today. This year, we are organizing a commemorative gathering to remember those who have been lost to AIDS – as well as to honor the people living with HIV, their families, and health care providers who continue to fight against the epidemic.
The gathering will be held at the Ellen S. Hope Clark Plaza within the Washington University Medical Center.
On that day, we will have an all day reading of the names. We will also display an AIDS quilt panel from the NAMES Foundation and a photo exhibit on the impact of HIV/AIDS.
